Lord of the Dance

Wayne Jakobsen und Brad Cummings geben in ihren aktuellen Podcast: „Relaxing into His Love“ ein sehr anschauliches Bild davon, was Nachfolge Jesu bedeutet.

Einer der Beiden (ich kann sie so schlecht auseinander halten) erzählt:
Er und seine Frau wurden von ihrer Tochter gebeten, auf ihrer Hochzeitsfeier mit dem Brautpaar den Eröffnungstanz zu machen. Nun waren aber Beide Nichttänzer. Daher begaben sie sich zu einer Tanzschule und lernten fleißig. Schließlich waren sie soweit zumindest die Technik zu beherrschen. So tanzten sie zwar technisch annehmbar, aber Tanz konnte man dies noch nicht nennen.
Da kam der Tanzlehrer hinzu, klopfte die Frau ab und begab sich mit ihr auf die Tanzfläche. Er sagte zur Frau: „Entspannen sie sich!“ Dann legten sie zusammen einen geradezu erstaunlichen Tanz hin.
Als er die Frau zurückführte sagte der Tanzlehrer zu Beiden: „Nur einer muss wissen wie man richtig tanzt. Der Andere muss sich nur führen lassen.“

Dies bezogen sie nun auf die Nachfolge Jesu.
Auch hier ist es nur wichtig, dass Jesus weiß, wie der Tanz des Lebens richtig funktioniert. Wir sind herausgefordert uns durch Jesus führen zu lassen. Dazu ist es notwendig, dass wir eng mit IHM zusammentanzen und Jesus vertrauen.

Lord of the Dance
Ich kenne diesen Gedanken aus dem irischen ein Lied, dass „Lord of the Dance“ heißt. Es wurde durch die irische Tanzschow von Michael Flatley sehr bekannt. Tatsächlich ist es aber eine Hymne aus dem Jahr 1967, die von Sydney Carter komponiert wurde.

Ich kenne insbesondere die Version von den Dubliners:

Es ist die Geschichte Jesu, aus seiner Sicht beschrieben. Jesus erscheint hier als „Herr des Tanzes“ (Lord of the dance), der seine Jünger auffordert mit ihm zu tanzen.

Also dann, frisch auf für einen Tanz mit Jesus.
